Online casinos and poker rooms are always looking for ways to appeal to new players and casino-shy punters. Glastonbury Festival once hosted a live casino and poker website PKR has sponsored some major music events.
This week, we are pairing up the finest festivals in Europe and the UK with the online casino game that suits them best. It’s a dirty job but – we’re pulling on the wellies, putting up the tent, heading for the beer tent – and doing it.
1. Hot Chip at Glastonbury – Blackjack
Electronic popsters Hot Chip are on the bill at the UK’s biggest festival in beautiful Somerset. Glastonbury is the one that everyone loves which is why the world’s favourite online casino game is the perfect choice.
If your chips are hot when you are flexing your gambling muscle, and playing a few hands of Blackjack, you’ll be upgrading and moving from tent to yurt in no time.
2. Clean Bandit at V Festival – Slots
Classically trained pop act Clean Bandit are playing at several festivals this year, including V Festival at the end of August. With a name so close to ‘one armed bandit’, we’ve chosen online slots as the perfect game to enjoy at either Staffordshire or Chelmsford V Festivals this year.
Headline acts like Kasabian and Calvin Harris are the perfect excuse to grab your mobile and see if you can win back the cost of admission.
3. La Roux at Latitude – Roulette
Androgynous 1980s sound-a-like La Roux heads to Suffolk in July for the middle-class Barbour wearing romp that is the Latitude festival. We expect festival goers to be enjoying a little Roux-lette as they ‘tut-tut’ at people pushing their way to the front of the crowd.
Other highlights at Latitude this year include miserablists Portishead, half of Oasis, and Welsh festival evergreens the Manic Street Preachers.
4. The Black Keys at the Isle of Wight – Craps
American duo The Black Keys will be rocking and … rolling … when they play the Isle of Wight Festival in June. Clearly, the perfect band to roll along with and play some online craps.
Other headliners at this classic rock festival are Fleetwood Mac, Blur, and the Prodigy.
5. Kenny Rogers on the Country Music Cruise, Jamaica – Casino
Kenny Rogers played Glastonbury two years ago and delighted the crowd with his rendition of the greatest casino song ever: the Gambler. We’ve checked Kenny’s itinerary for the coming year and he’s giving the festival scene a swerve.
However, if you want to enjoy a little Kenny, he is playing several state fairs in the US this year. He starts 2016 on a cruise ship in Caribbean, where it’s a safe bet that he will be singing the Gambler. Now, that’s one to aim for. See you on board.
