The result is the Responsible Online Gaming Association, which aims to develop and advance strategies and practices for responsible gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group, an independent trade association, features the following operators: BetMGM, bet365, DraftKings, FanDuel, PENN Entertainment, Hard Rock Digital, and Fanatics Betting and Gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Goal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>So, why have these top names come together? Though they are known for being top sportsbooks, the iGaming community \u2013 which includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.com\/casino-games\/\">online casino games<\/a> as well \u2013 is furthering its efforts to promote responsible gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group has a pledge to \u201cpromote responsible online gaming,\u201d committing $20 million to the initial effort. They look to work to develop best practices, drive independent research, and to continue to drive consumer awareness and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ROGA is the first organization that will put a focus exclusively on online gambling. Organizations like The National Council on Problem Gambling works to help bettors who can\u2019t do so responsibly but don\u2019t advocate gambling one way or another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ROGA will fund research, provide awareness to industry and consumer responsible gaming education, promote best practices for responsible gaming, and create a totally independent data clearinghouse and certification program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leading ROGA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/LteuEKxk1o-zCAwDbNtOBpQtG9zMSDXBSQmeDXmrPpKMG6Sa_BTxo18y93AXfCmkHn6W5KO3e6npGmO9ikeUYMbQpNG55chNAjb5mXfh4FDFXtdLvaze-MfnCpeXZs_zhH-WbS9qAO2OtL4VaMd5FD-jkCjc-Bkr\" alt=\"Sportsbook Giants Start Group to Promote Responsible Gambling\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading the way for the Responsible Online Gaming Association is Dr. Jennifer Shatley. She has been appointed as the full-time executive director and has the chops to take on the role thanks to over 25 years of industry experience. It is especially important that her focus has been on responsible play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shatley spent 13 years with Caesars Entertainment as the company\u2019s vice president of responsible gaming. She also spent almost four years as the head of the UNLV International Gaming Institute\u2019s Responsible Gaming team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy coming together with a clear set of objectives, ROGA and our members will work to enhance consumer protections and help provide easier and more efficient access to responsible gaming tools for consumers to enjoy the entertainment of online gaming,\u201d continued Shatley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the formation of the group mostly relates to sports betting, it will no doubt have a ripple effect in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.com\/\">online casino<\/a> world as well.
