It’s still early days in the 2015 – 2016 Premier League season but online gaming giant the Mansion Group is earning a crop of new fans with a pro-active social media marketing campaign that is – literally – putting bums on seats.
The Mansion Group sponsors two Premier League teams: Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth. Both clubs proved themselves worthy of top flight status with impressive performances last season.
Bournemouth AFC is currently enjoying its first season in the world’s richest league, following a stellar Championship season under the skillful management of Eddie Howe. Crystal Palace also demonstrated the power of great management last season, when Alan Pardew reversed a shaky start after joining the club in mid-January.
To get behind the clubs it sponsors, the Mansion Group has been giving away tickets to games on Twitter. Working in partnership with Crystal Palace’s independent Twitter fanzine TEB @TheEaglesBeak, fans were recently invited to tweet the five words that make Crystal Palace special to them. The prize: a pair of tickets to the game against North London’s heavy artillery Arsenal.
In the end, the winners were @PeteDixon_CPFC and @BenCraib whose five words about the Eagles were ‘Listen my son, you’re CPFC’ and ‘feast or famine always fighting’ respectively. The reaction to the ticket giveaway, from fans on Twitter, has been overwhelmingly positive.
“The moral of the story is make sure you are following @Mansion_Group on Twitter, if you want to win free tickets to a game” said a spokesman from The Mansion Group. “We have already given away free tickets to both the Norwich and Arsenal games and the season has only just started.
“We look forward to working together with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth on a number of initiatives to enhance the viability of both our brands” he said.
