If you could visit only one casino in your life, the Hippodrome Casino should definitely be a contender. The Hippodrome has been a London institution since it was opened in 1900 and continues to dazzle.
Everyone from Judy Garland, the Jackson Five, Shirley Bassey, Sammy Davis Jr and Prince has performed at the illustrious central London venue.
The casino was opened in 2012 and is the biggest and busiest in the UK. There are four gaming floors, as well as a 180-seat cabaret and music room. Underneath the main floor is a small burlesque club called Lola’s.
Lola’s has craps and blackjack tables, surrounding a cage housing dancing girls. It’s a ribald homage to the under stage Hippodrome of the 1900s. It’s sexy, decadent, and a lot of fun.
The casino also accommodates the award winning Heliot Steak House and six individual bars, including the Heliot Lounge and the Heliot Cocktail Bar, which has several screens showing sports.
The venue is stunning. It’s in the heart of the West End. There are dancing girls in the basement and the casino has won just about every award going. If you are in London, this is definitely the place to play.
Located in central London. Nearest underground stations are Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus and Charing Cross. Multiple bus services. Discounted car parking available nearby.
