
Again, Playtech announced revenue increases for the third quarter of the year. Up by 17% for Q3 the giants in online casino software earned €32.5m more than in Q3/09. Total revenue for the French market only dropped a mere 2% vs Q2/10, which was much less than originally expected, having only a small impact on the quarterly revenue.
The poker industry as expected, however, has taken a hit and experienced a 30% drop in revenue compared to Q3/09 and a 21% decrease since Q2/10. Bingo at Playtech has being doing very well and has seen an overall 11% increase in revenue during the last quarter.
Betfair online casino has also been doing very well since it was first introduced to the net in August. Italian bingo has also been doing well with 25% of its market share. Virtue Fusion bingo network is also on the rise with hopes of expanding to other European markets as well.
EBITDA for the last nine months is currently standing on €78m, but many people believe that Playtech will do even betting with earnings of around €89m. The daily performance in Playtech is currently on a 7% daily average increase compared to Q2/10. Betfair’s net gaming revenue is growing strong, but Playtech is still expected to proceed them considering its recent growth in Bingo.
