21 Duel Blackjack is a fast-paced, straightforward variation of classic blackjack. As with regular blackjack your goal is to come as close to hitting 21 without going over, and to get a higher point value than the dealer without going over 21. Ready to give 21 Duel Blackjack a shot?
To play, you'll begin by placing an ante bet. Then you will be dealt your cards. You will receive one face-up card and one face-down card; the dealer will receive two face-down cards; and then two additional cards will be dealt face-up to the center of the table as "community cards." At this point, you choose either to fold (thereby forfeiting your ante bet) or to play. If you decide to play your hand, you'll make a second bet. This bet must equal the ante bet. Then you will choose one of the face-up community cards to add to your hand.
After you've chosen your community card, you will then decide if you want to hit or stand. If you stand, then your face-down card will be discarded; if you hit, then your face-down card will be turned over and added to the point value of your hand. If you go over 21 then you bust.
(If you are playing 3-handed 21 Duel Blackjack, then at this point you will play your other hands.)
Now it is time for the dealer to reveal one of its face-down cards and take a community card. Then the dealer continues to play its hand similar to described above and then a winner is determined.
Another special feature of 21 Duel Blackjack is the 2 Up Side Bet. This is an option side pot that you can bet into before you see your face-up card and the two community cards. You place your bet and if a pair comes up among these three cards, then you'll receive a payout of 3 to 1. If all three cards come out the same, then your bet will pay 20 to 1.
